What is CUPCCAA and how can Contractors participate:

CUPCCAA (California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act – Public Contract Code Section 22000) is a provision of the State’s Public Contract Code that allows districts to award Informal Bids for work up to $175,000 as follows:

  •  A list of qualified contractors, identified by categories of work (type of Contractor License) is created by the district.
  • Notice is then given of projects to be informally bid to the contractors listed for the categories of work.
  • Contracts are awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder from the list.

Facilities Master Plan (FMP) Update & Budget Realignment:

The FMP Update was approved by the Board on July 31, 2012. The FMP Update reflects a budget reduction of nearly 20% mainly as a result of State funding shortfalls. The budgets for each site project have been adjusted based on the new FMP Update budget.
